I wondered what it would be like to have children of my own before I ever had kids. I never realized just how much of a constant commitment it could be! I am grateful to claim that I am among the lucky ones who feel the whole experience is worth it.

I just glanced at this article briefly. As a feminist, and a father of a daughter, the subject of gender models interests me. My friend had also mentioned a book or article called “Cinderella ate my daughter”, I will be reading that and posting an opinion on it soon. Be forewarned.

Uncle, uncle!

From the latin avunculus meaning “little grandfather” http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uncle

My brother and his wife just had a baby! I am very happy to hear the good news.

Uncle also means “I surrender!”

Language can be funny sometimes.

Kick Your Heels Up! Let’s all go wash our hands. Try not to be so defensive, I just washed my hands too. Hot water feels good, but does not necessarily bring death to microorganisms. I was taught that the temperature required to actually destroy germs is 140 degrees Fahrenheit. The flow of water mobilizes germs away from the surface of your tissues, and the friction from rubbing hand against hand detaches unwanted bacteria, fungi spores and virii.

Some of my teachers suggested singing “Happy Birthday” by Pat and Millie Hill (1893). That only applies to Tauruses though. I would thereby suggest “My Blue Heaven”

It’s longer, so your hands will be cleaner. Boosh!
